Designer not paid

Monday, September 4th, 2006

Look at this Web Design:

Design for 10 Sikreto ng Mayayaman

This design was by Gail Dela Cruz, but she issued a full refund to the client. Maybe the client did not like the design. Now check this out:

10 Sikreto ng Mayayaman, the book. Original design concept by Gail Dela Cruz with minimal design changes, was unpaid and all payments refunded.

This is the final design that came out. Hmmmm… what do you think? Looks like a free design. So this is the secret of this rich! *LOL* Read the story about the 10 Sikreto ng Mayayaman and you decide yourself if this is a major rip-off.

Problogger’s first impressions on PayPerPost.com

Saturday, August 5th, 2006

Problogger Darren Rose thinks PayPerPost.com degrades blog quality.Darren Rowse is an excellent blogger. And he has made a living out of blogging. He blogs for profit. His site is problogger.com. He even provides some consultancy on how to make profits out of blogging and is an authority in the field. But he does not believe in PayPerPost.com. He has cited several websites as well that do not like the idea. And a general pattern I see is getting paid per post decreases the credibility of the post and will just pollute the blogosphere.

I Get Paid to Blog. And I believe it is the same in the real world from face-to-face product endorsments, radio, TV and print. An article in a magazine, an interview on the radio or TV, it is all about promoting yourself or promoting your service, or promoting your product. Many post against PayPerPost.com talk about approval and reviews, that is it not screened. But as for my post, I have had rejected postings and I needed to edit them to get them approved. They also talk about people giving reviews on a product or service without trying them. This is the responsibility of the blogger. I do not want to give reviews personally of something I haven’t tried. But I give my opinions on a product based on what they are offering. And many advertisers give free samples of their product or service for testing purposes.

Office Furniture for the SOHO

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

I have a SOHO but I also have a day job doing the same thing. It is all websites, websites, websites. My home office is a mess. But maybe I just need better office furniture to keep stuff organized. I found BizChair a nice place to shop for office furniture. They do not have only chairs, they actually have all sorts of furniture.

First time high blogging traffic!

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006

One of my blogs gets some good amount of traffic, although I am not that great of a high profit problogger. But what my blogs earn helps pay the bills. I was surprised that one of my blogs. Action Online which just gets about 1000+ unique IP hits every month suddenly hit 3000+ for this month. It was mainly because of the Friendster Embassy VIP Boob Flash Story Bulletin Hack Worm. Wow I finally got a number on the PinoyTopBlogs.com on the graphic on the sidebar. I think only the top 100 gets a number. And finally got to number 70. But if I have no good story nex time, I can be gone next month. I wonder how Rickey and BryanBoy stays on top, they have such large followings.

The Race to $1Million

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2006

Online friend of mine, Mike Lopez, are in a race. A race where only the two of us are in the contest where we are against each other. We have both been playing around with SEO and I can say I have been doing SEO for more than year, but there is still so much to learn. We are both beginners in the affiliate marketing/ad publishing arena of the Internet and everyday is like continuous learning try new tricks everyday.

Right now we are in a race to the first to earn a total of $1 Million US Dollars! Hahahaha, a large amount, and only through 1 type of revenue stream. We are both like earning only less than $30/month, through this new revenue stream, but seem both optimistic on winning the race. Maybe because we both think that it is possible… and we both want to prove it is.

Right now he is way ahead of me creating viral capaigns, while I am leading in the higher paying market. Mike recently attacked a higher paying market too put it still takes some time to propagate and seen everywhere, while I got time to build my viral strategies.

Problem is, I got to finish a client site real quick first, then go to back to the viral site I am working on. But that gives another day for Mike to gain more lead. Hopefully the bots don’t crawl on him yet and give me more time to catch up later. LOLz!

200 Soon!

Friday, April 28th, 2006

I was expecting to hit the 200 domains hosted on my server by the end of 2006. Looks like I hit it already even before the first half of 2006. Now I will target 400 domains hosted on my server then for 2006. It requires even more planning, and that is exactly what I am going to do.

Near 200 domains

Stop Working! Time for back up.

Sunday, April 16th, 2006

Well I just noticed that my 120GB Hard Disk in an External Casing with USB, was getting near full. A lightning storm can wipe everything out. So many projects in there, and since I am fixing up a bunch of mess, I think it is time stop working for a few minutes to some hours, and do some back of near 120GB on my external drive and a bunch more on my desktop and my documents etc.

Don’t talk to me about the status of any project, LOLz, let me back up everything first.

Breakfast for Lunch, Lunch for Dinner

Saturday, April 15th, 2006

I think I got too much used to my old business Action Online, Co. Ltd. I work until sunrise, eat breakfast, sleep until past noon. Wake up at around 2 or 3pm, work until sunrise again. I just seem to finish a lot more work during those times.

Sometimes my body still wants to work at the schedule. Last night, I got a site done at around 4:30am and obviously, that is too long awake already to get sleep for the next day. Although I have done this many times, having done it in the previous days just did not let my make my body do it this time. Alarm clocks did not work, but it seems I unconsiously turned them off.

I woke up at 10:30am and my work is at 8:00am, and I chatted right away with my direct superior boss. And expresses that he can help me to some extent, but after that, I need to help myself. What a mess I am in, and even if I can get to pull out of it, after a certain time period, I get pulled back in. I prepared to go to work and saw my packed lunch adobo ready prepared on the table. And I left at lunch time, and I decided to eat cereal instead and eat my packed lunch for dinner while at work since I worked at extended hours.

Again, work seems to be faster to me during this time. At night onwards, work is fast and easy to do. But that is not the corporate life, and I need to adapt to the situation. And this is one of the messes in my life that I need to fix. The more mess I get fixed, the more prosperous it will be.

Right now, I am under a mentoring program, a 17-month mentoring program under Raymond Aaron. He is like a personal coach who will help me out in fixing a bunch of stuff. From family, to business, to health, and people like Robert Kiyosaki, author of the book Rich Dad Poor Dad and Jack Canfield, author of the books Chicken Soup for the Soul are some of the people he has mentored. And I do hope this mentoring program does work, to help fix out the messes.
