I was also riding back in the late 80′s
i recently bought a haro mirra 540 just to relieve my youth but as reading your blog, i’m thinking of riding ramps again.
back in 89 may quarter pipe din kami sa cebu but was a short live one because i was in college already more school work and less time to play.
so this might be my last chance to do ramps. riding alone in the streets is fun but riding ramps would be even better.
i’ll be checking your blog more often to get some insight on your adventure too.

Yeah the quarterpipe in Lagro was by Rad World Freestyle Unlimited that had a small bike shop and several riders. These freestyles were like in batches of several generations.

Sad to say, my generation I think was the last one just before Rad World closed down and torn down the quarterpipe.

During my generation, highschool classmate Arvin Cassanova was already out of it. Those from the earlier generations still biking was Edsel and “Aplong” who is Geri Barcelona but did not look the same before and today. So when we met later on, I did not even recognize him. Nyahahaha. Aplong looked like the small thing hanging by his handlebars before. Today, just like everyone growing older… gained some weight.

Mga taga Villa Sabina naman… Syempre si Rhett ang kilala ko since taga Sacre din sya. And after visting there, nakilala ko din si Rod and si Kuneho. Hindi ako tumitira masyado sa quarter doon kasi parang intimidating na sila with all the high airs they were doing.
